23. Male (Poem)

What does it mean to be male to me?

What do I need to be male?

My soul is pure love, much like everyone else,

And it craves quite the same as the rest,

The needs and the wants and the must-haves are not,

Any different from any dear soul.

So what does it mean to be male to me?

It means nothing, not in the grand scheme.

To be male for me, in all parts but body,

Is the same as if I were female,

So what does it mean to be male to me?

As the body is merely a shell that I wear,

The appendage I own nothing more than a flair,

The love and despair quite the same, to be fair,

Mutual shared care, stallion as in mare…

So, What does it mean to be male to me???

Well, often I stand when I pee.
