The other day I mistakenly consumed an excessive amount of coffee and it had an incredible impact on my day. I have tried to capture and express this truly bizarre sensation within the following words.
First off, I can’t breath
Shallow puff, deeper wheeze,
Taste of burning in my throat,
Huff.
Oh, and my heart beats,
Way too fast, boom and blast,
Please just let me sleep?
Rough.
Sure, I’ve energy,
Far too much, throttle clutch,
It’s not cocaine – trust,
Bruv.
Pacing, no reprieve,
Wired like hell, dinner bell
I’m not hungry, not in hell,
Buzz.
