When in Toronto, by the shore of Lake Ontario, it is hard not to feel like you are by the seaside. The water, which stretches as far as the eye can see, laps at the shore like a sea, aptly supports flotilla like a sea and, for me, holds the same mystical allure as the sea. I wrote this haiku about Lake Ontario.
Three months here and still,
I feel like you lie to me,
Surely not a lake.
