168. Wurst

Every now and again we all have awful days. Not necessarily for reasons of great import, often terrible days are born from plaguing self-doubt, a feeling of lost progress or a sense that one is not where they are meant to be. Bad days can be born from anything. The other day I had an awful day and my partner and I retaliated by starting a new tradition. Near where we live is a restaurant called Wurst (it serves delicious sausages and beer). Spoken in mispronounced English the restaurants name is ‘Worst’ and this place is our official new night spot for healing after a rough day. This new tradition inspired the following haiku.

Today was the worst

Oh, it’s going to get better

Before lets get Wurst
