194. Splash

I went to a water park this weekend and it was so much fun. The weather was sublime, the water cool and the people so varied that I felt quite comforted for being a man who hasn’t a perfected six pack. My experience inspired this poem.

Summertime splashdown,

Tanned brown, with a grin,

White trash slide with middle class,

All for one, they’re in.

Waters reconciling hug,

Soothes our sun kissed sin,

And in the early evening we’ll

Wish lotion on our skin.
