240. Seduced

I wrote this poem whilst exploring a historical site in Toronto last weekend. I felt enraptured and seduced by the beauty of summer…

Green tapestry, weaved into dirt so dry,

Offset from blue that’s cast across the sky,

A little worry trembles with a bee,

And then subsides, as pollinated plants,

Produce a nectar sweeter than a dream.
