I find fountains intensely absorbing. In the same way that fire awakens some long forgotten vital aspect of our human psyche, fountains offer a sense of wholesome peace. A peace I also find when admiring natures water features – namely waterfalls. On a recent weekend excursion I came across this luxurious fountain and took a moment to write the following haiku.
Slicing air, misplaced
Water thrust up into space
Soothing anxious soul.
