Bad art elicits no emotional response whatsoever. Good art can help us deduce an emotion or understand a frame of mind. Great art exemplifies it’s meaning through the mastery of it’s given art form. I enjoyed this painting on a coffee shop wall the other week. I felt it totally captured a moment in time, a culture, a personality and a state of mind. I wrote this haiku about great art.
Bettered by a stroke,
Of paint dashed across a dream,
Bringing it to life.
