259. Rectangle

We see so much of the world these days through an additional focal lens; namely through the frame of our handy rectangular middle man, our pocket pal aka our cell phone. I was captured in this photo taking a picture on my phone and it made me wonder whether this device had grown my appreciation of the every day beauty that surrounds me or distanced me further from it. It seems almost ironic that the tool I use to capture and emphasise beauty may also be the one that stops me from properly seeing it. I wrote this haiku about my thoughts.

What filter will work?

How must I capture world here?

Immortal in frame.
