Objectively and logically speaking, this banana shaped construct outside a Montreal Metro station has absolutely no pertinent purpose whatsoever. But hovering like flies a few metres away from it, I watched as countless people stopped, smiled and snapped pictures with it. It seemed to create little blimps of positivity, in skies that were a dredge of hardened grey, shaped so by reality. I wrote this haiku about what I saw.
