275. Rainbow

I was recently invited to a dinner party at a beautiful house on the Scarborough Bluffs, just out of central Toronto. The Art Deco inspired hunting lodge is home to some friends of mine and they have an absolutely stunning garden that sprawls from the house down to the cliff front. Whilst having a late-afternoon summer BBQ, we were graced with a stunning rainbow that seemed to delicately touch the lake water, and extended far up through the burgeoning cloud bank. I wrote this haiku about the incredible phenomenon that is a rainbow.

Colour, vibrant streak,

Spilt the sky, a glowing feat

Warm my little soul.
