345. Pretence

About hiding a conflicted mind, behind a pretty facade…

The clink of an icecube, sliding gracefully over,

A coconut milk and espresso mixed sea,

Is almost enough, to help me unlock,

A satisfied smugness, to hide what makes me.

Thanks Kamal. It’s hard to describe what it feels like to realise you are hiding elements of your truth.
